Billing & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
This Billing & Cancellation Policy explains how creator membership billing works on the Culture Signal Podcast Network, including free trials, recurring billing, cancellations, and what happens when a membership ends.
Free Trials
Some membership plans offer a free trial period. During the trial, you have access to the plan's features at no charge. You will not be charged during your free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your membership automatically converts to the selected plan and your payment method is charged the full plan price.
When Billing Begins
Billing begins at the end of your free trial, if applicable, or immediately upon checkout if no trial is offered. You will see the charge on your payment method at the time billing begins.
Recurring Billing
Memberships are billed on a recurring basis according to the plan's billing cycle (e.g., monthly). Your membership automatically renews at the displayed price until you cancel. You will be charged on the same date each billing cycle.
Upgrades and Downgrades
You may change your plan at any time. Plan changes take effect according to the payment provider's billing process. We do not currently offer automatic proration of charges when changing plans mid-cycle; the new plan's billing will be applied at the next renewal date.
Cancellation
You may cancel your membership at any time through your Creator Studio account or by contacting support.
Soft Cancellation (End of Cycle)
When you request a soft cancellation, your membership remains active until the end of the current billing period. You retain full access to Creator Studio and your shows through the end of the paid period. The membership will not renew after that date.
Immediate Cancellation
You may also choose to cancel immediately. Access to Creator Studio and hosting features ends on the date of cancellation. We do not offer refunds for the remaining portion of a billing period when canceling immediately.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact support within 30 days of the charge so we can review your request.
Payment Failures
If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to process the payment again. If payment cannot be completed, your membership may be suspended until a valid payment method is provided. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
What Happens When Membership Ends
- Creator Studio access: access to the Creator Studio is removed when your membership ends.
- Podcast hosting: your shows will be paused from the network and will no longer appear in public discovery.
- Episode visibility: episodes associated with your shows will be removed from public browsing and search.
- Distribution: your RSS feed may continue to be available through third-party directories based on their own caching and policies.
- Data retention: your show metadata and episode information are retained for a reasonable period to allow for reactivation. Audio files hosted by your podcast hosting provider remain subject to that provider's terms.
Export and Migration
If available, you may request export of your show metadata and episode information before or after cancellation. Culture Signal will reasonably cooperate with migration to another hosting provider upon request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify creators of material changes through the platform or via email.
